Daniel T. Rodriguez
Program Coordinator, National Health Corps Florida (PHL Program)

Daniel T. Rodriguez is originally from Vallejo, California but grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and attended high school and college in Jacksonville.  He spent his entire college career at the University of North Florida – he earned his undergraduate Public Health degree in the spring of 2013, and his Master’s in Public Health Degree in the summer of 2015.  He also completed a few brief Public Health-related internships during his college years – one of his internships took place during graduate school, and entailed conducting research for the Health Promotion Department at the University of North Florida.  In addition to Public Health, Daniel has also briefly worked as a substitute teacher in the Jacksonville area, and has even held a few retail positions, including working at Target, Starbucks, and Publix (which is a popular grocery chain in the Southeastern United States).  He hopes that he can combine his teaching, customer service, and Public Health backgrounds in order to become an effective “Public Health educator” and make significant, lasting Public Health-related impacts in his community.  In his spare time, Daniel enjoys jogging, window shopping, drinking tea and coffee at Starbucks restaurants, studying foreign languages, and reading about/watching videos about inspirational people who are trying to change the world.
