What is your title and role at your host site?
As a health educator, I am responsible for teaching life skills to residents of the Sulzbacher Center. I will be developing curriculum on affordable, nutritious meals.


Why did you join AmeriCorps/National Health Corps?
I joined AmeriCorps for the unique opportunity to empower at-risk communities within Jacksonville, while learning about public health.


What are you hoping to gain from your year of service?
I hope to gain the skill-sets to enter the workforce.


What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?
I intend to live in Jacksonville and either seek additional schooling or enter the workforce. (Or both!)


Where do you envision yourself in 5 years?
I envision myself becoming established in my career and in my community.
