Sabrina Chiu
Position Title:
Senior Vitality Assistant
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in San Francisco and I attended college in Southern California.
Why did you decide to join NHC?
I joined NHC because I want to pursue a career in public health and gain skills related to the field, while contributing to building healthier communities. Having minimal experience in public health, I thought NHC would be a good stepping stone to transition to this career path.
What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?
I hope to develop skills in program management, health education, and public health advocacy, while contributing to meaningful community-based health initiatives. NHC offers the opportunity to apply my skills in real-world settings, gain hands-on experience in capacity-building efforts, and work alongside others dedicated to health equity.
What are you most looking forward to during your service term?
I’m most looking forward to directly contributing to community health initiatives and seeing the impact of my work. I’m also excited to learn from experts in the field and meet peers who share the same passion for public health. I want to serve, learn, and grow into a more effective public health leader through this service term.
