Where are you from? 

I'm originally from Stockton CA, I was born and raised in India and have always felt strong connection to my community. Before joining NHC, I lived in Stockton and I consider (it) to be my home.

Are you a Student?  If so, where and what are you studying?

Yes, I am a fulltime student going to UOP for pursuing my bachelors in scienses in public health administration. 

Why did you decide to join NHC?

I decided to join NHC because I saw it as a valuable opportunity to grow professionally in the healthcare field while making a meaningful impact on people's lives. NHC's focus on providing accessible healthcare solutions aligns with my own passion for helping others navigate complex systems. I’m excited about the potential to gain hands-on experience in health coverage, deepen my understanding of healthcare policies, and contribute to improving member satisfaction and overall well-being.

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?

As a health coverage representative, my primary goal during my service term would be to enhance my understanding of the complexities of healthcare plans and how they impact individuals' access to quality care. I’d also aim to develop a deeper empathy for the diverse needs of the members I assist, ensuring that I can provide tailored guidance and solutions. In addition, I'd like to improve my communication skills, particularly when explaining intricate policy details in a way that’s clear and accessible. Ultimately, I hope to gain hands-on experience in problem-solving for members, navigating both routine inquiries and more complex cases, so I can make a positive difference in their healthcare journey.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?

I’m most looking forward to the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of individuals and help them navigate their healthcare options. It’s exciting to think about the skills I’ll gain in customer service, problem-solving, and policy understanding, all while making a tangible difference in people’s lives. I’m also eager to learn from the experienced team around me, as I know their insights will be invaluable in shaping my professional development during this term. Ultimately, I’m excited to contribute to a positive experience for the members while enhancing my own expertise in the healthcare field.
