Why did you join the National Health Corps New York AmeriCorps program?  

I wanted to take a year off school and use that time to give back to the community and gain some insight into the workings of the healthcare system. I wanted to use this opportunity to grow as a person, preparing me to become a better healthcare professional.  

A fun fact about me:  

I am 6'4" and I played basketball while I was in college.  

What has been the most meaningful part of service for you?  

So far, the most meaningful part of service for me has been directly having a somewhat positive impact on someone’s day, either by getting them a resource that they didn’t know was available to them or by helping make the office work in the facility go by smoother and thus make the work feel easier.
