What is your title and role at your host site?

I will be a health educator at the YMCA Clay County. My role is to create physical activity and nutrition curriculum to implement at schools all across Clay County.

Why did you join AmeriCorps/National Health Corps?

I wanted to learn more about public health and take an active role in combating health disparities.

What are you hoping to gain from your year of service?
I hope to gain new skills and learn a lot from my other corps members.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?

I plan to go to medical school.

Where do you envision yourself in 5 years?

I envision myself in a primary care residency.
