Why did you decide to join NHC?
I want to serve in a vulnerable community through clinical experience and gain the necessary skills to be able to care for the public with health disparities with hopes to make a positive impact on their situation right now and in my future career. I have always had a passion for service work and medicine, the National Health Corps molds these elements together in a professional setting allowing me to gain hands-on experience with communities in need.

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?
I hope to learn how to be a better advocate for patients and how to navigate the health system for all.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term? 
I look forward to better understanding different health disparities in the medical field along with ways to care for people that are from different socioeconomic classes or cultures. Additionally, I hope to meet people with similar interests in medicine and service.
