Position Title: Patient Navigator

Where are you from? 

Morrisville, NC

Why did you join NHC Pittsburgh?

I hope to help patients have an easier time navigating the healthcare system and advocate when needed to help them get the care they need. Importantly, I wanted to see how public health practices affect patient outcomes and learn more about the barriers to care.

What do you hope to gain or learn during your service term?    

I hope to learn how to address barriers in healthcare and how to promote preventative care.

 What are you most looking forward to during your service term?            

Getting to work with the patients at the family health clinic and learn more about public health!
