Program Director, National Health Corps Florida

KaTori Roussel (she/her) is a native of Jacksonville, FL. She graduated from the University of North Florida, with a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health while minoring in Exercise Science. KaTori volunteers for various community organizations throughout Jacksonville and began her career as an intern and was employed for the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) as a Health Educator for 4 years. As a Health Educator for the FDOH, KaTori educated the community on Sexual and Reproductive Health, Healthy Weight Initiatives, and Tobacco Prevention. In 2015 KaTori was awarded $152,536.33 for Tobacco Prevention Programs from the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Tobacco Free Florida. KaTori loves learning new things and sharing that knowledge to those interested. As a Program Instructor for the University of Florida IFAS Extension office under the SMART Couples Program, KaTori was trained to teach relationship and communication skills workshops to couples throughout Duval County. During her free time KaTori enjoys reading, coaching cheerleading, running her event planning business and spending time with her family. KaTori is very excited about her role as Program Coordinator for the National Health Corps Florida - AmeriCorps because taking care of others in your community is what will ultimately bring any community together.
