Ebony Goytia Hermosillo
Program Coordinator-Central California

Ebony Goytia Hermosillo (She/Her) is the Program Coordinator for National Health Corps Central California. She has lived in the Central Valley for most of her life but has lived all over this beautiful state from Northern California to Southern California. She is a first-generation graduate of UC Merced 2021 with a major in Sociology. As she completed her bachelor’s degree, she volunteered with local organizations and joined on-campus initiatives that supported her passion for addressing social issues. She participated in the pilot cohort of 2020-2021 AmeriCorps and UC Merced’s Public Service Fellowship, which allowed her to serve the community in youth education and development. Serving in non-profit and social services has been her desire for many years. Since graduating, she worked as a Mental Health Worker, giving her more of an understanding of the mental and behavioral health fields.

Ebony has two dogs; A German Shepard-Husky rescue who sheds like no other, and a Yorkshire Terrier who is missing her front left paw (she was born this way). She enjoys traveling, reading, writing, baking, watching films, and spending time with friends/family.
