About National Health Corps
Who We Are
National Health Corps (NHC) advances community health by providing critical education, care coordination, and essential services to under-resourced communities, while transforming systems through policy, procedure, and practice change.
We partner with health, social service, education, food, and legal organizations to implement innovative solutions to our nation’s most pressing health problems, while developing a pipeline of underrepresented frontline and community-based healthcare and public health leaders, most of whom are women and people of color.
Over the past 32 years, the NHC has trained and deployed more than 3,200 individuals who have served more than 3.5 million people in rural, urban and suburban communities.
The National Health Corps fosters healthy communities by connecting those who need it most with health and wellness education, benefits, and services, while developing tomorrow’s compassionate health leaders.
NHC envisions a nation where all people have the access to services and knowledge necessary to lead healthy, productive and fulfilling lives.
