Position Title:

Quality Improvement/Diabetes Care Coordinator

Where are you from?

San Ramon, CA

Why did you decide to join NHC?

While supporting community members during their recovery from COVID-19 as a volunteer COVID-19 contact tracer, I witnessed how the pandemic had only worsened the health inequities in the Bay Area. Following my college graduation, I knew that I wanted to be involved in public and community health programs dedicated to improving the health of vulnerable patient populations. As a Bay Area native, I want to use my education, skills, and experiences to give back to the community I have called home for as long as I can remember.

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?

I am especially excited to learn more about the health needs of different populations in San Francisco and how we can improve community health services in order to make medical care and health education accessible to everyone.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?

I’m looking forward to connecting with new people I get to work with during my term and to further my experience in public and community health.
