Program Coordinator, NHC NEPA: Community Health Fellowship , NHC AmeriCorps Commonwealth Civilian Coronavirus Corps (CCCC) , Northeast PA Area Health Education Center

Madison Scalleat (she/her) is the Program Coordinator for National Health Corps Northeast Pennsylvania. She is an alumni of West Chester University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree in Public Health and a minor in Contemplative Studies. Prior to NHC, Madison worked as a global health research assistant for a research project in Uganda, where she developed data collection tools and training materials, analyzed quantitative and qualitative data, and co-authored the research manuscript. She also worked at St. Luke’s University Health Network as an intern in the Community Health Department where she assisted with the deliverables of their psychostimulant grant as well as addressing food insecurity in Carbon County, PA.  In addition to her interest in community health, Madison is also interested in working with mental and behavioral health and has her Mental Health First Aid certification.

 

Outside of NHC, Madison’s hobbies and interests include cooking and baking new recipes, binge watching tv series, reading mystery/thrillers, going on walks, spending time with loved ones and taking care of her 2 dogs, Max & Liam.
