Why did you join AmeriCorps/National Health Corps?

AmeriCorps has a strong reputation for being a challenging and powerful experience that I believe could help me develop in my passion and provide invaluable exposure to diverse populations in the healthcare field. I joined because I believe AmeriCorps will continue my quest for exploration and will instigate a means to build positive relationships and mutual growth.

What are you hoping to gain from your year of service?

I plan on seeking out a variety of unfamiliar experiences during my time in AmeriCorps. I hope that these experiences will help me grow more into my passions of health and help me to understand more about the health disparities faced in America.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?

I envision myself gaining more experience and knowledge in the healthcare field before pursuing a degree in either Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Public Health. I have a variety of interests, but I trust that AmeriCorps will help strengthen my insight on my future career pathway.

Where do you envision yourself in 5 years?

I envision myself being more fully immersed in the healthcare field by completing my masters or doctorate degree in PT, OT, or public health.
