Why did you join the National Health Corps Florida AmeriCorps program?
I joined National Health Corps Florida because this program will give me the opportunity to both serve an underprivileged community while gaining experience and knowledge within the dental field. I chose to take a year off before dental school knowing I wanted to participate in service and after researching National Health Corps I knew that this program would be a great way to spend my gap year.

What are you hoping to gain from your year of service?
I hope to gain experience in the dental field that may help me in my future career as a dentist.  I also hope to learn more about to interact with underserved communities while working to teach them how to live a happy healthy life.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?
After AmeriCorps I am hoping to be enrolled in dental school and pursue a career as a dentist.

Where do you envision yourself in 5 years?
In five years I plan to wrapping up dental school or continuing my dental education by pursuing a specialty in the field.
