What are you hoping to gain from your year of service?
During my time with the NHC I hope to gain a better understanding of public health as well as first hand experience working in the field. I think a year of service has a lot to offer in terms of both personal and professional development and I hope to learn a lot from the individuals I meet along the way. I also think this will be a great opportunity to connect with other driven individuals with a passion for community service and health care.
What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?
Following my service term with AmeriCorps I plan on taking steps to apply to a graduate program to obtain a Masters in Public Health. In the interim I hope to continue serving in my local community.

In five years, I hope to have earned my MPH and continue in the pursuit for a career in Public Health.
