Howard Brown Health Center

Since its founding in 1974, Howard Brown Health (HBH) has eliminated the disparities in health care experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people through research, education, and the provision of services that promote health and wellness. In 2015, over 19,000 adults and youth were able to benefit from diverse health and social service delivery systems which focus around eight pillars of health. These include: primary medical care, behavioral health services, social services, research, sexual and reproductive health, youth services, pediatrics, and elder services. Howard Brown serves people of all ages, sexual orientations, gender expressions through a multi-site operation, with locations throughout Chicago in Rogers Park, Uptown, Lakeview, Hyde Park, and Englewood regardless of their ability to pay.
